There are many thing that men get into and one of the most important, for those who can, is a place that is just or them and them alone. It can be a space that is just a room secluded form all others for this purpose. It might be an addition onto the house or garage. It could also be a separate building, such as a shed built specifically for them. This space of course, calls for very specific man cave decor.

Most men appreciate luxury even if they like to rough o it out in the wild at times. They want the couch and easy chair that makes it possible to relax, regardless of what they are doing. The couch that is there will be large enough for them and, possibly one or two friends. The easy chair, however, is just for them.

This space will have a large screen television set. It will also have either cable or satellite programming and all of the channels the guy wants to have. This usually means a sports channel or two or three. It also must have channels such as do it yourself programming as well as wildlife, hunting and maybe golfing.

A guy who has a room for himself without a television has a den, not a man cave. These are definitely two different types of rooms. A den, while it usually is comfortable has, as its function, productivity in mind, whereas a man cave has comfort for comforts sake in mind. A den is not the room that is being discussed here, lest you misunderstand.

There will be provisions in this cave or everything the guy likes to do. There might be a wet bar. There will almost certainly be a refrigerator. This is will be for sodas, beer and snacks. There might even be a special refrigerated beer keg cabinet. Anything else that is required for his comfort, as far as food or drink is concerned will be there.

Men love hobbies of all kinds and they will want them on display in this space. If his is coin collecting, for example, he will have shelves with coin supplies on the walls. He will also have a table and chair, with the right lighting for looking at his collection. He will also have lockable cabinets for anything that he wants to keep secure and clean.

Other hobbies, such as hunting and fishing will also find display space. Rifle racks on the wall and fishing poles on display will be the normal view to others. There will be cabinets specifically for ammunition and there may also be a reloading station to keep him fully locked and loaded.

Everything that a man needs will be in this room. They are fundamentally unable to function in a room that is not set up for them in this fashion, except for short periods of time in social occasions. Comfort, entitlement and creativity will be the hallmarks of this type of space for a man who needs it.
